With the deepening of globalization and the innovation of educational concepts, the Applied English course needs to achieve a transition from single language skill training to the cultivation of comprehensive competencies. This paper explores the theoretical logic and practical pathways for integrating the humanistic spirit with ideological and political connotations, pointing out their inherent unity in the dimension of cultivating well-rounded individuals. The study analyzes the limitations and superficial dilemmas of three integration models, including content addition. Subsequently, it systematically constructs an integration strategy system from four dimensions: goal reconstruction, content integration, method innovation, and evaluation reform. This aims to promote the organic unity of instrumentality and humanity in the course, ultimately cultivating interdisciplinary talents equipped with linguistic competence, cultural insight, and value judgment.
